Birkenstock is one of the oldest and most popular brands on the planet. Many choose Birkenstock for the fashion, the durability, and the comfort. Originally designed strictly as an orthotic, Birkenstock has mastered their foot-bed model to ensure a comfortable and ultra-supportive fit. For this reason, many doctors will prescribe their patients to get Birkenstock for the issues such as pronation and plantar fasciitis.

Birkenstock makes products that are supportive and comfortable for someone working a 12-hour shift as well as stylish and fashionable for a night on the town. How do I care for my Birkenstocks?
Birkenstock offers various ways to care for their products, many of which we can help you with. For starters, their Cork Sealer will help to keep your foot bed looking new. Simply apply a coat of sealer whenever the cork loses its shine. This will prevent dry rot and cracking.

We also carry a Water-proofer that will not only protect your Birks from lasting stains, but will also make cleaning them a breeze when they do get dirty.
Another recommendation when it comes to caring for Birks is to avoid extreme heat. The cork foot beds and EVA soles of a Birk can be damaged when exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time, so do your best to keep them away from

How do I repair my Birkenstocks?

Repairing Birks can vary quite a bit. For instance, in many cases simple repairs such as cork replacement or leather treatment can be done at a local shoe repair shop. Sole or foot-bed replacement can be a little more difficult and pricy as well. Your best bet when it comes to making Birkenstock repairs is to visit your local shoe repair shop or give us a call at 314-434-4430 for our opinion of repairs. We also work with a shoe repairman in the area and can send your shoes to him, if you are able to bring them by our store in St. Louis.

Why are some Birks priced so much lower than others?

Birkenstock uses a number of different materials in their shoes and sandals that lead to a diverse price and quality difference.  For example, Birkenstocks made with Birko-Flor or Birkibuc are composed of synthetic materials opposed to natural leather. This leads to a similar look and feel of other Birkenstocks with a smaller price tag.

What size do I wear?
If you are able to visit our stores, coming in for a face-to-face fitting is always the best method to achieve the correct size and fit. Our experienced sales staff will measure your feet, identifying your proper size, width, and arch placement. They will use this information to identify the perfect shoe and fit for your feet.

For brands other than Birkenstock, a good tip for estimating your size is to add 31 to your US size for women and 34 to your US size for men. While this will get you close, be sure to do your research on certain brands and shoes to see if they have any distinct variations that may fall outside of the norm.

How does ordering online work?
Because we are a small family business, we do not have a live inventory on our website. We showcase what we carry in-store and the sizes the products are available in. Therefore, when you place an order online we cannot guarantee 100% that we will have your item in stock. However, in the off chance we don’t have your product on hand, we will follow up with you as soon as possible regarding the availability of your order. If we happen not to have something in stock, we are always happy to order it for you and have it sent directly to you as soon as possible.
I don’t see the style I am looking for on your site. Can you still get it?
We are happy to attempt to order any item you would like, even if it does not appear on our site. Please send us an email at with more information on what you are looking for and a sales representative will follow-up with you regarding its availability.
When will my order be shipped?
We strive to mail your orders as soon as possible. Unless otherwise notified, your order will ship the same day you order or the following morning. You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your order has shipped.
What's the status of my order? How do I track my order?
Once an order has shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation email that will contain your tracking information.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged at the time your order ships. Any refunds that are made will likely take 3-5 business days to process.

Where are you located?
We are located at 12350 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63141. For directions to get here, please give us a call at 314-434-4430. We are open from 10AM-6PM Monday-Saturday and 10AM-3PM on Sundays.
Do I need an appointment to come in?
There is no need to make an appointment when visiting us. All of our sales staff personnel are trained to fit feet of all shapes and sizes. If a doctor has recommended that you visit our store for a certain item, feel free to give us a call at 314-434-4430 to make sure we have it in stock.
What is your return/exchange policy for sales made in-store?

Can I make returns from other Laurie’s Shoes locations at Birkenstock & More?

Due to an agreement with Birkenstock Corporation, only items that are actually carried at Birkenstock & More can be returned there. So, if you purchase and item at a Laurie’s Shoes location that is not carried at Birkenstock & More, you will not be able to receive a refund there. If you want to see if you can make a return with us before coming in, please call us at 314-434-4430.

How does your rewards program work?

To be eligible for our rewards program, you must hold onto your receipts from in-store purchases and bring them in the next time you buy with us. We will add up all of your receipt subtotals (the minimum for savings is $50.00 in combined receipts) and take 5% from that value. That amount will be how much you receive off your purchase.
