Waterproof & Protective Features
The Brooks Women’s Cascadia 19 GTX version includes a lightweight, bonded waterproof membrane that seals out moisture while maintaining flexibility. The upper features protective overlays, a reinforced toe-cap and mudguard that shield the front and sides of the foot from rocks, mud, and trail debris. These elements help preserve shoe longevity and keep your feet secure and comfortable in challenging trail conditions.
Cushioning & Trail Adapt System
Underfoot, the midsole uses DNA Loft v3 foam, delivering a soft but resilient ride. To protect against trail hazards like rocks and roots, there’s a rock shield plate integrated into the midsole. Combined with the cushioning, this provides a stable yet adaptive ride—comfort where you need it, protection where you want it.
Fit, Drop & Feel Underfoot
The heel-to-toe drop is 6 mm, allowing a relatively low-profile trail feel while still giving enough heel cushion. The women’s version weighs approximately 9.9 ounces (about 280.7 grams). The feel underfoot is balanced—neither overly soft nor overly firm—and suited for a wide range of terrain, from soft dirt paths to harder, rocky stretches.
Traction & Outsole
The outsole uses a rubber compound designed for trail grip in both wet and dry conditions. The lug pattern is multidirectional to enhance traction on uneven surfaces, and flexible grooves allow natural bending and adaptability of the foot. A mudguard around the base helps protect against splash and adds to stability in sloppy or wet trail conditions.
