Waterproof Protection & Upper Design
This model incorporates a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit waterproof membrane that’s bonded directly to the upper. That means wet conditions—rain, puddles, or creek crossings—are managed without sacrificing flexibility or adding bulk. The upper also features breathable sandwich mesh with protective overlays, a reinforced toe bumper, and mudguard elements to guard against debris and trail hazards while maintaining airflow.

Midsole, Cushioning, and Protection
Underfoot the Brooks Men’s Cascadia 19 is built with DNA Loft v3 foam. This cushioning is softer and more responsive than before, helping to absorb impact during long trail runs or rocky terrain. Midsole geometry includes a Ballistic Rock Shield, a protective plate that guards against rocks and roots, yet flexes naturally to keep transitions smooth. The combination results in a balance of plush comfort and necessary protection where you need it.

Support, Stability, and Fit
With a 6 mm heel-to-toe drop, this shoe offers a responsive feel that encourages a balanced gait. The broader base helps improve stability, especially when navigating uneven or technical terrain. The heel cup and collar are padded for comfort and better locking in of the foot, reducing fatigue and slippage during intense trail outings.

Outsole & Traction
The outsole is built using TrailTack Green rubber with about 25% recycled content. The lug pattern is multidirectional and sufficiently deep to grip well on both wet and dry trail surfaces. Flexible flex grooves are strategically placed to allow better ground contact and smoother transitions over rock gardens or slick roots.
